I Forgive

I forgive.

Yesterday I had a Kinesiology session. I actually go very regularly, on average every 3 weeks and that doesn’t include the balances I have at college (oh yeah, I’m studying Kinesiology!). I like to think that I’m “doing the work” on myself. Spiritually, emotionally and physically. I like to go deep and it’s not unusual for my sessions to take all sorts of interesting twists and turns. But sometimes, it’s the simple, most obvious – and yet pushed aside and ignored – things that give us that big “aha” or lightbulb moments.

We had come to the end of our session, but there was one emotion that wasn’t quite clear, it turned out that my body wanted to smell “Forgiveness” one of a range of gorgeous alchemical oils from Sacred Self. I had a good deep whiff of it and I said to Amanda my Kinesiologist, “You know, that made me feel really grounded.” and just like winning the jackpot – bells ringing – lights flashing – I GOT IT. I had always associated forgiveness with feeling lighter, letting go of the burden, and whilst that is not exactly untrue, it’s not the whole truth.

So what is the connection between Forgiveness and feeling Grounded? Well when we are grounded, we feel connected. When we hold on to resentment, anger, fear and judgement – about ourselves as well as others – we are disconnected from source, from our divine nature, from each other. Definitely not grounded. So, if we are able to forgive, we become grounded, and therefore connected. We are more stable and we are able to move more freely.

(In case you’re wondering why I have a photo of a ceiling rose here, this is what I’m looking up at while I’m on the table in my sessions – I’ve always loved that it reminds me of a mandala, but yesterday I realised it’s a portal!)

Also? Kinesiology rocks. Really. Want to find out what the hype is all about? I’m currently looking for lots of bodies to practice on, so get in touch!!
